The following individuals comprise the team at Ilene B. Gohmert, CPA. Our employees regularly attend continuing education classes to be able to provide competent service.
Ilene B. Gohmert, C.P.A.
Ilene Baker Gohmert earned a BA in Accounting from Texas Lutheran University. Ilene also holds a Series 7 and 66 license.
Ilene has experience in public accounting and wealth management. She manages a full service accounting firm providing income tax services, bookkeeping, estate planning, investment planning and other accounting services. She currently serves on the Texas Lutheran University Board of Regents.
Ilene loves to spend time mentoring students pursuing careers in the field of accounting and is the recipient of an endowed scholarship to Texas Lutheran University honoring her work.
In her spare time, Ilene loves to spend time with family and ride around the pasture enjoying the animals and nature. Ilene also is a member of the Cuero Rotary Club in which she volunteers in social events for various community events.

Cody Foil
Cody is a 2013 graduate of Texas Lutheran University where he received a Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He joined the firm shortly after graduating and works as a Staff Accountant specializing in in-depth tax accounting research, company financial statements and tax returns.
In his spare time, Cody is an avid sports fan and loves to watch or attend the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros games or a NASCAR race. He also enjoys traveling during the summer time.
Christopher Gohmert
Christopher Gohmert spent his formative years helping his mother, Ilene, around her office, and joined the firm in a professional capacity in 2011. He is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University where he earned a Bachelor in Business Administration degree with concentrations in Management and Finance.
Christopher is an active Cuero Rotarian, where he currently serves as Treasurer. Christopher is also a member of the Endowment Committee at St Paul Lutheran Church in Yorktown.
In his spare time, Christopher loves spending time at home with his wife and son. He enjoys going out on the farm to take care of the cattle and the family land.
Scott Hale
Scott is a 2011 graduate of Texas Lutheran University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He has been with the firm since 2011 and works as a Staff Accountant focusing on Partnerships, Corporations and Individual tax returns and bookkeeping.
Scott enjoys the outdoors while managing the deer and other wildlife on his land in Cuero, TX.
Bryan Stefka
Bryan Stefka has been with the firm since May of 2015. He is a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance. He is responsible for recording financial information for use in the preparation of tax returns and financial statements.
Hilary Gohmert
Hilary is a 2013 graduate of St. Mary's University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a Minor in Kinesiology. After 7 years in the teaching profession, Hilary joined the firm in 2021 as an Administrative Assistant to Ilene and Christopher, but has been helping with administrative duties part time since 2015. Hilary is a member of the Cuero Rotary Club.
In her spare time, Hilary enjoys spending time with her husband, Christopher, and her son. She loves to travel with family and hopes to take her son to Disney World one day as it was one of her favorite places to go as a child.
